The many countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea abound with produce of the sea and land which are essential ingredients of the Mediterranean cuisine. These ingredients, will daily make up those dishes offered to our guests at the Restaurant "Mediterraneo" of the Pietra di Luna Hotel in Maiori..
These PRODUCTS : olive oil, citrus fruits (including the Sfusato Amalfitano), vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, fish and meat, are chosen carefully and are seasonal fare. They are supplied to the best of our ability, locally and daily, in order to guarantee the freshest possible quality. The preparation and cooking of our dishes respects the ancient culinary tradition and specialities of the Amalfi Coast, (Amalfi, Ravello, Maiori, Praiano and Positano).
Our chef focuses attention to the basic principles of the Mediterranean cuisine, "eat well, but above all enjoy healthy eating". Our dishes are simply "Mediterranean Cuisine" and not "Mediterranean Diet" as this last, in many occasions is incorrectly acknowledged.
Our menu selection is complemented by a wine list spanning from labels of the Amalfi Coast (Ravello, Furore, Tramonti), to the Campania Region (Taurasi, Falanghina, Greco di Tufo, Pallagrello Bianco, Coda di Volpe), ending with the rest of Italy (Barolo, Brunello, Amarone).
The light and spacious restaurant dominates a spectacular view of the seaside promenade and the Bay of Maiori, stretching from the Norman Tower to the Miramare Castle with the hill of Ravello in the background. The staff, all locals, is waiting for you for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and welcomes guests of the hotel, non-residents and small banquets.
